About this book
Interaction of Color gives Josef Albers's own account of complicated color theory principles, written to work as a handbook and a teaching aid. Yale University Press brought the book out in 1963 as a limited silkscreen edition of 150 color plates, and a 1971 paperback carried ten color studies that Albers chose. The anniversary edition sets close to sixty color studies beside Albers's original text, demonstrating color relativity, intensity and temperature, boundaries that vibrate or vanish, and illusions of transparency and reversed grounds.
